More offers from Costco
The Johnnie Walker Family Collection Gift pack is back at Costco. I went in today to see if they had any (missed out on last year's stock), low and behold, it was!
It may be overrated, but I never tried Johnnie Walker and I'll be the judge of it afterwards.
Includes:
Black Label - 1 x 200ml
Gold Label Reserve - 1 x 200ml
Aged 18 Years Label - 1 x 200ml
Blue Label - 1 x 200ml
Also, Costco does have their Blue Label bottle of 1750ml for $440, a 10% mark-up from $400 back in Nov, 2020 (https://forums.redflagdeals.com/costco- ... 0-2420187/)

I have this exact pack
It's good value at $80 (especially if you have to deal with the LCBO like I do where the blue label is $13.85 / oz)
it's also a great way to discover the different JW's without breaking the bank getting a full sized bottle.
Enjoy it and never buy the red label.

No clue, last time Costco carried these, it was Alberta only from the comments on last year's thread and the ones before that. I'm not even certain if other provinces carry it. Can always give Costco a call and give them the item code 918876 for the Johnnie Walker family pack. I don't know the code for the 1750ml Blue Label bottle however.

Can't say I've experienced the wonders of LCBO, probably never will haha.
Yeah, I'm avoiding the Red Label. $80 for 4 JW's Scotches is definitely easier than $260 for Blue Label, $150 for Age 18 Year. $90 for Gold Reserve and $50 for Black Label.

Got this deal last month. Was forced to get 4 of these because Costco Liquor doesn't have the Blue 750mL, or even the 1L.
$79.99 × 4 = $319.96
With this, you technically get:
800mL Blue, which 750mL costs $285.99 from Real Canadian Liquor
800mL 18 (Platinum), which 750mL costs $142.99
The free 2 800mLs of Gold and Black
Best deal yet. Unfortunately, my friends only consumed the 200mL Blue when I brought it, and ignored the rest.

Problem with that is once you open it, some say you need to consume it within 6 months. That's why the 200mL bottles were perfect for me for occasional drinks. Plus the 1.75L "Magnum" is out of reach for me.

Yeah alcohol doesn't go bad...you don't have to consume within 6 months.
As for the deal itself, while ppl think Blue is the best, the Platinum 18 is better IMHO, though I wouldn't bother with JW at all.

if anyone can bring these to BC for me, I can buy about 10 packs and give a premium of 10 dollars for each pack.

Same 5x50ml is at Wine and Beyond in Alberta for $50. Sure it’s cheaper but wouldn’t say we’re being hosed. Comparing LCBO prices to Costco in Alberta is pointless. The only way we get hosed is because the province still insists in preventing Costco from selling liquor here.

Taste wise for each of them, are they similar? Is blue supposed to be better tasting?
