How to pass Sophia learning? ›

Complete each Challenge by attempting each of the questions. Achieve a total average score of 70% or better across all Challenges, Milestones, and Touchstones. Complete each Touchstone with a score of at least 50%. Complete your Final Milestone, which contributes to your overall course score.

Sofia is a girl's name of Greek origin. It is a variant of Sophia, which comes directly from the Greek word σοφία, meaning “wisdom.” While both spellings are popular, Sofia is more fashionable in Italy and throughout the Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking worlds.

Sophia.org doesn't track the sites you have visited, they basically use Biometric/IP logging for their own purposes of non invasive proctoring...

Take the Milestone at a time and location when you can have sufficient undisturbed time, so you can focus on completing the Milestone successfully. Milestones are "open book," so have two browser windows or tabs open. Use one for viewing relevant tutorials, and the other for the Milestone.

Assignments & grading

This is a pass/fail course. You must complete 8 Challenges (formative assessments), 4 Milestones (summative assessments), and 1 Touchstone (project-based or written assessment) with an overall score of 70% or better.

We allow one (1) Challenge retake per course, and one (1) Milestone retake per unit. You will be prompted to contact the Sophia Learning Coach team if you fail an assessment in the course. We want you to be completely satisfied with your learning experience.

Can I claim Sophia Learning on my taxes? ›

No, since it isn't an accredited title IV college they will not issue you the 1098-T form that you need to file with the IRS in order to qualify for the education tax credit on qualified tuition and related expenses (including amounts paid for books, supplies, and equipment needed for a course of study).

Milestones are summative assessments that test your mastery of the course concepts in a unit. These have a set time limit, which is displayed on your Course Dashboard. At the end of some courses, there is also a Final Milestone that is the culmination of the previous work.

At Sophia, SDC, and other providers, your essays are supposed to be your own work. That means no ChatGPT and don't use rephrase features of ProWritingAid/Grammarly. It should be okay to use Grammarly ONLY for catching spelling mistakes or misplaced punctuation.
