Lesson Learned! I recently attempted to use AI in one of my advertising campaigns for a client. AI is a hot topic and seems to be everywhere these days, so I thought it would be a great idea to try it out. However, I quickly learned that it didn't go as planned. The main problem was that I lacked specific insights into what was being decided, and I had no way of correcting it. The AI on the platform adjusted things on its own based on what it believed would create the desired leads. Unfortunately, AI only went off of clicks on impressions and did not analyze the intentions of the person who was clicking on the ad. This led to further issues as AI started showing ads to people with similar interests on the same platforms as the ones who had already responded to the ads. I attempted to fix the problem by changing the keywords and filtering out negative keywords, but nothing seemed to work. Changing the campaign settings was impossible. The only solution was to create a new campaign without AI and with settings that I could fully control and have insights into. The moral of the story is that AI is great for smaller tasks, but it cannot replace human strategic thinking just yet. Human behavior doesn't always follow algorithms like computers, and only we know this so far.#AIisthefuture #growthoutsidethecomfortzone

    What will advertising look like in an AI world?There is a software race going on. The big 5 all want to leverage AI and machine learning to create a system where you hand over your money, tell them your goals and they will do the rest. The real challenge is that there is a big trust issue. These companies have already shown that they will put their shareholders and money-making agenda ahead of yours. Giving over this power to them is not good for small businesses. My belief is that AI will be a useful tool for smart marketers and smart businesses but unless there are major advancements in it's capabilities will not replace these people. What do you think?

    For the past few weeks, I have been tinkering with AI platforms designed specifically for social media (such as sales stack AI)๐ŸŸฉ Pros: ยทYou give it a topic and it generates a post in a matter of seconds (you can select between tips and tricks, personal stories, educational, etc.)ยทIt can read an existing post and write a comment about it ๐ŸคฏยทWith their browser extension, it plugs right into your LinkedIn account which makes it unbelievably easy and efficient.ยทThe more data/info you give it, the smarter it getsover time ๐ŸŸฅ Cons: ยทI still find these posts too generic, too cold. Even though itโ€™s impressive how far technology has come, it still doesnโ€™t compare to a well-thought-out post written by a human.ยทAI cannot replicate a post that is personalized, genuine, clever, unique, or empathetic.ยทNow that almost everyone has access to AI, the bar is set higher. Your AI-written post will not stand out if everyone is using the same tools. ๐Ÿงฑ Final thoughts:-I think itโ€™s a great tool to help you get started and give you some ideas.-If you rely solely on AI posts, you will save a lot of time and effort, but I canโ€™t see it impacting your business positively, in terms of engagement and growth, in the long term. #linkedinlearning #businessdevelopment #ai
