About – Kanawha County Schools Virtual Program (2024)

Kanawha County Schools began offering a virtual program in the Spring of 2018. Students in grades K through 12 can participate in the program.

Students can participate in a full-time or part-time virtual school program where we customize the courses to meet the students’ needs. Students can also take a course or more physically at the school in conjunction with the virtual program, or choose to have all of their classes virtual. Students can participate in sports as well as school functions and clubs.

This program is free to students who are currently homeschooled, in a private, or public school in Kanawha County. KCS will provide an iPad, the courses, and the support for your child to succeed. The program does not have any mandatory log-in time requirements. Every student has the flexibility to work when they want, how they want, and where they want.
